Bristlecone began as a drawing of bristlecone pine, rendered slowly, by hand, by our illustrator. Each line follows the grain of a tree that has stood for over four thousand years, observed, composed, and translated to silk, so that the finished print feels less like a pattern and more like a quiet study of time itself.
